Gamesir X2 pro Xbox not recognized in NS

I have the Gamesir X2 pro Xbox controller and I was under the impression that using gamesirs controller would allow access to EggNS without needing to buy VIP for touch? I know the controller works bc I had 1 week of VIP where I could use the controller in touch mode, but EggNS will not let me run games in controller mode even with the X2 pro connected.

Any help with this?
